Arft Family

Surnames: Arft, Schutt, Schutte
Everyone here as been very helpful so I thought I would try for more help.

I have a Maria Arft married to Frederick Schutte in my family tree. These people are my 2nd great grand parents with Frederick being my direct relative.

I also have obituaries from some old family stuff I found. One is for William Arft (died 5/17/1934), Herman J. Arft (died 2/22/ 1967), Walter Arft (died 2/5/1941) and Gretchen Arft, wife of William Arft (died 12/6/1939). All mentioned where most likely born in Germany and died in the Rochester area.

The issue is that I am trying to make a connection between Maria Arft and anyone that I have the obituaries for. I have seen a Wilhelm Arft with several siblings and believe that he may be a sibling of this Maria Arft in my tree. My confidence with this is still not very high and I am just looking for a little help on this.

Thank you!

Those that you listed are actually my Great Grandparents. My Grandfather is their youngest son.....

I'm still stuck on this, but I hope I figure it out at some point.

In 1900 Frederick seems to be married to an Anna, with the same children. She was born in Jan 1864 in Germany and it reads that she came to the US in 1884. At that time they live in Brighton, just immediately south of Rochester. That marriage appears in the Historic Rochester Marriages:
