You are aware that Perdue is an Eastern Shore of Maryland
surname? and, Obedience and Biddie are Mayflower names?
Bedient is a family name there (Massachusetts).

Bedient also has some roots in the Alsas/Loraaine (sp?) region between France and Germany. Bedient in German means "my pleasure to serve you" and appears frequently on store and restaurant receipts. The "ient" ending is also very common in both French and German.
