I have an ancestor Philip Goldizen (or Goldiess) who was born in the mid-1700's. He is supposed to be buried in Goldizen Cemetary in Jordan Run, WV which appears to be close to Cabins, WV. He had a son Frederick Lewis Goldizen born 1791.

Do you know of these people or this cemetary?

Thanks.

Sheldon Rarey and Eliza Ann Blair are my husband's gg-grandparent. I am trying to locate information on William Sylvester Farley who was their daughter Angeline's husband. All I know about him is he was born in Aug 1848 and married Angeline November 6, 1870. Angeline died in 1873. If you have any information I would be grateful to receive it. Thank you

Betti, I am a descendant of Omer Goldizen's sister Ama Mary Goldizen. She married Robert Taylor in Parke County, Indiana, and moved to Iowa and then Nebraska, where she died in 1889. Do you have any information on Frederick Lewis Goldizen and his parents?
Thanks.

Frederick Lewis Goldizen was the 2nd son of Johan Philip Goldizen, who was a Hessian soldier. He married Elizaneth Ann Kanester and moved to West Virginia, where they both are buried. Original spelling was Goldeiss. From the Ansbach regiment in the Rev. war.
Frederick L. left WVA about 1815 for Ohio. Don't know where he went from there until about 1825 when he had a son with Mary Levick Morris McAlurath - her 5th child. Married twice before. He died in Parke County, Indiana. Buried there.
