I'm trying to narrow down some possibilities in my Marshall ancestry by researching all of the John Marshalls I can find in Maine in the 1810, 1820, and 1830 U. S. Censuses.

I find the following three Kennebec County entries:

1) John Marshall in Augusta, 1810 (I found a later probate record for a John Marshall in Augusta, d. late 1867 or early 1868 -- is this the same person?)

2) John Marshall in Monmouth, 1820 (Also found a John Marshall enlisted during War of 1812 out of Monmouth -- is this the same person?)

3) John Marshall in Windsor, 1830

If anybody has information about the families of any of these, please let me know. Thank you!

Update: I have eliminated the John Marshalls of Augusta and Windsor (who actually both may be the same person, or from the same family).

Haven't eliminated the John Marshall from Monmouth -- yet. But he may have been younger than the John Marshall I am seeking.

If you have any information about John Marshall of Monmouth, Maine in 1820, please let me know.
