can't narrow down search time frame

The search data I used for Newspapers category in Licking Co. Ohio was:
1)Last name: with exact option
2)Any Event: 1920 +- 5 years with exact option
3)More Keywords, two words: "Company name" with exact option AND with quotes.

I'm getting late 1950 and 1960 hits when I'm trying to search in the 1915 to 1925 range.

Howdto I restrict the search results for the time span I want? I'm looking to discover when the small company started, by whom and maybe when it ended but I don't have a firm date yet.

The Any Event filter will match on any event in the newspaper publication - for example, births between 1915 and 1925. This causes information from later publications to appear.

If you are looking for information published between 1915 and 1925, use the Publication Info to set the year and location. (You will need to open the Advanced Search form to do this.)

Hope this helps!

The first thing you need to do is to determine if the newspapers of interest are online for the dates you are looking for.

I have made some searches in that area of the country and it seems that most newspapers did not go back that far.
