Franklin's brother named Hazen had a daughter, Florence who married ? Colby.

my note:
My 2nd gr-grandmother was ISABEL Abbott(1878-1938) who was married 2x, first to O. Paige, then Harry R. Brown.
Isabel, according to my gr-grandmother's birth, was born in Newport,NH, died in Concord, 1938.
My gr-grandmother was Blanche (Brown) Colby who married Clarence Colby, who came from the Penacook section of Concord known as Horse Hill.
I don't know if there's a connection to your Abbott family, but I'm hoping we can find one.
None of my research has come across the above names, but I have also not researched my line completely.

I have confirmed 10 children so far.

My gr-grandmother claimed she was "of the Abbott family" of Concord who made the Coaches (Abbott & Downing Company).

I read your post concerning the Abbot's of NH. I have numerous Abbot's and Chandlers and their English origins in my tree dating back to 1615. The majority of my Abbot's lived in/near Andover Mass and some are connected to the Dane family also of England. My tree for this branch stops in the mid 1800's. Have nothing on them for the late 19th century, early 20th century. Maybe we are distantly connected in some fashion. Are there any How/Howe's in your tree?

So far, we have no How/Howe's in our tree. We have several Abbott/Dow/Chandler/Stevens/Austin in ours. I've not yet found "Dane" either. Our Abbott's do go to Andover, MA as well, so there is a strong possibility that we're distantly related...

Our Abbott line goes from Franklin Augustus Abbott to Hazen Abbott. Yours?

I just returned from a trip to the Concord, NH area and found Hazen Abbott, his wife Emma, and daughter Florence's (and her husband George P. Colby 1880-1919) stones in Maple Grove Cemetery, Concord, NH. I wonder if this Colby is a relation to your Colby family?? I'll need to look into it!

There's no connection to this Colby family with my own.

I suspect there is one but cannot find any proof.

I was just going over your previous email stating that you had Colby family in the Horse Hill section of Penacook. Since we found Colby's in our line, I took photos of each stone in Horse Hill that had the Colby name. If you'd like to send me your email address, I can forward any I have to you.

I have Florence's husband as George Peterson Colby. They're buried together - I have a photo of their stone and copies of the cemetery records stating so.(Charles P. Colby may have been a misprint.)

Florence's brother was Charles.

I have my Colby family on the find-a-grave web site.
You can take a look, if I remember there's pics of the stones.
If you find any that don't have one, feel free to add.
There are two Colby's on the site that I've not found a connection, at least one I believe is related (Joseph).
