I am willing to do lookups from the book "Grayson County: A History in Words and Pictures" published in 1976. How can I help?

Randy do you have anything on James Carson b. abt 1795 or his Mother Anna Atkins Carson b. abt 1760? James also had a sister Eleanor that married Rueben Moore that settled in Grayson. Thanks for your offer to do lookups.

Hello! I'd love it if you could look up the Idol family, specifically Daniel C. Idol. He built an octagonal house, called the Round House, just outside of Mouth of Wilson, right on the VA / NC border. Any information on him or the house would be appreciated. Thanks!

Good evening. Sorry, but I don't see this listed in the book. Sounds very interesting!

Good evening Donna,

Sorry, but there are no Carsons listed in the book. The only Atkins is a William Atkins. The Moores listed in the book are Arch Moore, Jessie G. Moore, and a listing of the Moore Ferry & Ford. Any of this ring a bell?

Regards,

My great great grandmother, Sena Jane Rector, orginally from Grayson Cty, married a John Hackler, also from Grayson Cty. After Mr. Hackler's death in 1917, she married, I believe in 1922, Mr. Levi Todd, a widower of Nancy Higgins. Mr. Todd and first wife, Nancy, are buried in a cemetery in Galax, I believe. Sena, however, is buried in Delaware alongside Mr. Hackler. Are there any records of this marriage in Grayson Cty. And, if you hold none, can you direct me the someone who would have this information?
Thanks,
Darryl
