Betty was born in St Louis, lived in St Louis area all her life. She was listed as a boarder 1940 census living with a Buschacher family in St Louis. It also states she was living there in 1935. The Buchschachers never formally adopted her. She married Vernon Oswalt in 1949 She died in 1976 from a rare blood disorder.
