I hope that I am not out of line by offering, but I have
just purchased the book HAMPSHIRE COUNTY RECORDS 1816-1923 VIRGINIA/WEST VIRGINIA by Vicki Bidinger Horton, and if anyone is interested, I would be glad to do lookups.

Contains information from Chancery and Guardian Bond books, newspaper abstracts and a big section listing deaths-date and year.

With all the McCauley/Baker discussion on the board and from reading it in the book I have become interested in this line and if I could help anyone I would be glad to do it.

Nikki,

Could you please look for a William FOLEY who died in Hampshire Co. abt. 1829-1830? I have a deed listing his heirs: widow as Catherine and children, Jasper, William, Isaac, Milly (m. Solomon MOORE), Sidney (m. Wm. PURGET). We believe there were about 13 other children by his first wife (name unknown) but have not found a link yet. My ancestor is their son, Jasper Foley who migrated to Clark Co. OH abt. 1855.

Thank you so much for offering to do lookups in your book.

I am also looking for anything on his widow, Catherine BALL FOLEY, daughter of Jasper BALL. I haven't been able to find anything on her death.
