My G.G. grandmother was Nancy Emmiline Peacock,1861-1906,her father was John Roberson Peacock,1839-1863,her mother was Janie?.John R."s parents were William Peacock,1808-1864 and Nancy Roberson,1812-1874.John R. was taken prisoner during The War Between The States and he died in Fort Delaware in 1863.Janie then married Rev. Jimmie Wilson.Nancy Emmilne married Joseph Alonzo Lee,they had 9 children. One of their children ,Minnie Esther Lee married David Peacock. This is about all that I have on the Peacocks yet.If you have anything, please let me know.BASouter@aol.I have a copy of Williams will, and I believe that he was the brother of Asa Bryan Peacock.Johns younger brother George Nance is buried in Smithfield.

There were several families named Peacock
in Johnston County. I am from the Samuel
Peacock line, through William Peacock. If
this sounds familiar to you, I can trace back
to about 1642. E-mail me at peacock@hit.net

I am the great-grandson of William H.Peacock
#8 listed as son of Isham Peacock Keziah Walker. I have some assorted fill-in information that you did not list. I also have burial locations of numerous Peacocks in South Georgia. I have information on most of the descendants from the above William to the present. Contact me and I will be glad to share what I have.

Thanks for the response. Could you tell me if my information is correct so far? Some people keep telling me John Peacock was married to Elizabeth, but the information I have says that he was married to Unity Pearce. You can email me at cew@net-magic.net. What I need is information on James Ransom and Lewis Jackson Peacock. Thanks Lewis.

Gene, any chance you may have anything for a James Peacock, son of John and Elizabeth? He married Mary Chancey in 1850, and is shown in the 1860 Pierce County, Blackshear census. James was killed in the Battle of Antietam so I am told. Mary (Polly) Peacock is found as head in the 1880 Charlton County census with her niece and brother in her house, along with a son and daughter, Rebecca and John. If you have anything concerning Mary, death location, buriel location...ect, I would be interested in that.

E-mail address is k4yaw@hotmail.com if you wish to send a report of some kind...

Thanks, Robert
