I am searching for information on my g-gandmother Denize Louis(lewis) Guillory. She married Joseph Lute Guillory in the late 1800's(possibly 1890's). Together they had several children all of which were born and raised in Iota-Rosa, Fred, Lillian,Cyriaque(sp),Amalete(sp),uncle boyd(?),John,Lelia Mae Guillory Lennette(my grandmother-).
My grandmother had said that her mother-Denize was part native american.My mother (last name Leonard/Lennett-from Jennings) said she remembers Denize being called Ma'am Lute. Any information is apreciated.

The land is still there I do not recall my grandmother Lelia metioning a Benjamin Guillory-but I will ask my mother. I recall my mother saying my g-grandmother had other children but they died young. alcina was married to theudule guillory who took her from her father and some woman with the last name of leday after her father crippled her,theudule and his wife finished raising her and after his wife died he later married her,her sons,louis lives in california paul & theudule jr are in louisiana as is bell & rose mary delta is dead she died in texas & another daughter died during I think it was hurricane katrina of a heart attack she was my grand mother oh for a time they lived in camron until some hurricane I believe it was andrew in the fiftees wiped it off the map!Louis Guillory jr

My Joseph Guillory is related to Olin Guillory...to my knowledge, Olin may have moved from LA-possibly from Jennings to TX. Joseph-My g-grand may have been Olin's uncle or cousin...my grandmother Lelia-Joseph's youngest dtr may have been 1st cousins. My grandmother was Lelia Guillory Lennett of Jennings, LA.
