Looking for relatives of my grandfather Joe C. Kudelka, his father Frank Kudelka and mother Francheska Novak from Stara Bela in Northern Moravia. He came over around 1915 and made his way to North Dakota. My father one of his children still lives on the family farm in Forman, ND. I would like to find out more abot where he came from.

This posting is 10 years old, so before I spend a lot of time answering your reply, I want to be sure you are still at the same Email address. If you are, please send me an Email and I will reply with what I have. Briefly, I have a history of Stara Bela from about 1275 to 1918. That is the good news. The bad news is that it is in Czech and I can not read it. However, it has lots of photos and of course the names, dates, and locations are the same. With a lot of effort and a dictionary, I have figured out quite a bit and am happy to share.

I saw your post and was wondering if you would search your book for the Sasin family:
Anton Sasin (b. ~1840)
Caroline Sasin (b. ~1850)
Anna Sasin (b. 1875)
Mariana (b. 1877)
Anton (b. ~1879)
Jenovefa (b. 1881)

The family immigrated to the United States in 1883. Any info you may have on them or any other related individuals would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Sorry, I do not have the book. Were your ancestors from Stara Bela?
I know way after your ancestors but family went to family so they could be distant relatives to yours. They arrived thru Ellis Island.
Sasin, Jan Straznice, Moravia 18 1889 1907
Sasin, Jiri Radejov, Czechoslovakia 33 1889 1922
SASIN does list in Ostrava's phone book. (Czech only)
