I do believe I may have some info for you. Contact me at laverne11@hotmail.com with an e-mail address and I will be happy to share any info with you. I am a descendant of William "O" Hammock of Richnond Co., VA 1650's and have a quite large Hammack/Hammock database.

Roy, My dad was Robert Thomas Hammock (1919 - 1976) from Franklin Co. Al. He had brothers Charles (Missouri), Webb (Winter Park, FL), Husie (Franklin Co), a sister (Selma or Zelma, I think) and another brother in Mo. If you have any more info I would greatly appreciate whatever you can share.

Dear Mr. Hammock found your information on internet. I am the daughter of Eugene Hammock born Sept. 7 1925 to Charles A. and Lula C. (Mitchell) Hammock of Red Bay, Al.my daddy was the youngestof the following children: Husie,Weburn,Robert,Charles R. Selma, Lesta, and one more sister, but can't think of her name. Unfortunately all these Hammock siblings have passed away with the exception of uncle Charles in Sikeston Mo.I visited Red Bay about 2 years ago ,meet a cousin named Annie (I believe Husie's daughter) very nice lady about in her 70's) She had ssome info. on Charlie A. Hammock(that his mother was possibly a Shubert.) There is also an old cemetery called Dempsey Cemetery I belive is the name of it. Meeting two of my cousins, a first cousin Gertrude, daughte of Aunt Zelma, she is the one who showed me the cemetery. Several of Lula Mitchell Hammock's sisters are buriedin this cemetery. Charles A. had only I believe a brother Morris Hammock and possibly I thinka nephew name Jounior Hammock. This is most of the information iI know of the Hammock Family of Franklin Co. Alabama. Hope it is of use to you. Sincerly, Pauline K.Hammock

Pauline, I would love to be able to talk to you to learn more about the Hammocks. I remember going to Sikeston, I couldn't have been more than 12 or so. My email address is RLHammock@worldnet.att.net - I have sent these postings to my brother Greg also-

We have been researching this and found that William Harvey Hammock owned a GristMill near Red Bay. Not sure exactly where it is located?? Any help would be appreciated.
