Looking for anyone with information on Herbert Joseph O'Rourke, my grandfather. We have been told he served on a submarine in WWII at Pearl Harbor, and had the nickname "Torpedo". He was recalled into service at that time, and was older in age. He died around 1965-1967. He was from the Wash DC area. He had a brother named Larry who was married to Betty and they had children named Larry, Bobby, Tom, Joe, and Joan. My dad is Herbert Joseph O'Rourke, Jr, but he never knew his dad. Looking for possible family pics also.

Not sure if there is any connection but I have a pamphlet from 1953 for a Larry O'Rourke who ran for Council Committee in Los Angeles California. The Pamphlet says Larry also was involved in Pearl Harbor as well as Okinawa and served 6 years in the Marine Corps. At the time he was running he was 33 years old.
