1889-1948 ILLINOIS MINING ACCIDENT DATABASE, fatal and non-fatal accidents; can provide date, usually miner’s age, name of mine, and reference source.

My database of over 59,000 records covers fatal accidents, 1889-1948 and non-fatal accidents 1889-1925; can provide date, usually miner’s age, residence, and reference source.

There is no charge for queries if the amount of information requested is nominal. I also have mining accident records for other states, Canada and Australia, see www.raogk.com

Any information on William S. Bray, La Salle Illinois coal miner 1880 to1910. He was unemployed in the 1880 census for six months and so were all the other miner's in that census, was there a strike at that time? Do not what mine he worked in.

Thanks for you service,

My goodness!! Thank you for your super fast reply.

I am trying to find out information of William Bray because he was my maternal great grandfather. I have not been able to find out anything about working in the coal mines in Illinois as of yet, but I will keep looking. Thanks again Carla
