I am interested: My father's family (and I did at a time) worked at Lukens Steel Company. My Business teacher, Gladys Worth and her sister, a teacher at Pearce Business School in Philadelphia (both deceased), I think were somehow related to the Worth family that owned Worth Steel. I recollect someone telling me that the Worth's had a mansion located at 5th Avenue and Lincoln Highway. It was later turned into a "tea room".

I am also interested in these three, but most particularly in Lukens Steel. My husband's family founded the company and I have been trying over the years to collect memorabilia and interesting bits of information about the company and the people that worked in it. It has the distinction of being the longest running independent Steel Mill in the US until purchased by Bethelehem Steel several years ago.

I am the CMO of the New Jersey Museum of Transportation. In our collection, we have a locomotive from Midvale Steel and would apreciate any info available about this engine for our records.

The mansion was at 3rd. and Main (Lincoln Hwy.) and was torn down to make room for Acme Super Market. The Worth's built a new steel mill in Claymount Del. around 1916? which was purchased by The Colorado Fuel and Iron Corporation, than by Phoenix Steel and now is owned by the Chinese company.
