I am researching the Hayes family for a friend. Her grandparents were Bill and Rodie Kathleen Franklin Hayes. They lived in Bryson City, NC and had the following children that I know of: Jess, Dan, Ed, Andy, Hyman, Harley, John, Pink Eli married Pauline Nichols Betsy married a Wiggins, Liz, and Hattie married a Stephens. I would like to know the parents of Nora Franklin and Bill Hayes. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

I made a mistake on the last message. The name is Rodie Kathleen Franklin Hayes instead of Nora Franklin. I was getting the two grandmother's confused...Nora is a Duvall. Also my e-mail address has changed.

I am the granddaughter of Ed Hayes. Ed had 11 sons (Edward, Suel, Arthur Dee, Jerry, William, Robert, Tom, Richard, Charlie, Fred and still born infant. I am Jerry's daughter. I just stumbled on this in my own quest to find out more about the Hayes side of the family. Bill (William James I believe), my GGrandfather is buried in Watkins Cemetery in Bryson City.
