Looking for family of Bernard (or Barnard) Sharkey, emigrated as a young child from Co. Cavan, Ireland, abt. 1821. He lived most of his adult life in the Wilkes-Barre area, but his obituary states he grew up in Honesdale & Carbondale. Do not know names of his parents. Any info on any Sharkey (or Sharky) living in the Honesdale area in the 1820's or 1830's would be much appreciated. Will be going to Ireland this summer & would like to do some research there, so his parents names would be extremely helpful.
