I am looking for any information on:

Mordecai (Moredcai) DICKENS (DICKINS) who b. c. 1750, (perhaps R.I.) He was in CT 1776, but there may be a Rev War record from NYS He was in Dutchess Co in 1787 - 1790.

In the early 1800s he bought land in Hector Township, Schuyler Co. NY where he died. He had at least 2 sons Robert and Samuel, and perhaps a brother Peter. I will be grateful for any information at all -- wife's name, parents etc.

I will be happy to share my information on his sons and grandsons Eli S., Alva, Able and Levi.

The name "Eli S. Dickens" caught my eye. I have an "Eli S. Dickens" on my wife's side of the family.
Eli S. b: 3 April 1801 or maybe in 1805), d: 19 Nov 1882, m: 1823 to Roxanna Culver. Eli was the son of Robert (I do not have his mother's name). I show 11 children. I show he lived in both Tompkins and Schuyler Counties. My wife descends via Chauncey Dickens b: 1845/6, d: 23 Dec 1937, m: 7 Dec 1874 to Mary Elizabeth Strang (Le'Strang). I have been researching my ancestor's and found out that I am related to Eli S. Dickens he is my 5 great uncle. Robert Dickens is my Great Grandfather 5 generations. I am looking for information on Mortecai Dickens as well.

I don't have a Mortecai Dickens, but I do have information on Eli S. Dickens and would like to trade data with you. I do not have any Dickins.

Dickens is on my wife's side of the family line and married into her Rothermich line. Rothermich married into the Lyon line, which is my wife's maiden name.
