My Great Great Grandfather was born February 14, 1874 in Glover's Gap, West Virginia. He married Myrtle Yost on January 14, 1899 in Mannington, West Virginia. I am looking for any information on his parents. I don't know their names at this time. Thanks.

His name is Francis Marion Glover

What I have found but not sure yet. Francis Glover's father might be a Willaim Glover who married Rebecca Anderson in Wetzel, West Virginia in 1854. My grandmother said she thought there was a Anderson in the family. My Great Grandmother was Glades Glover of Mannington, West Virginia. Daughter of Francis Glover.

I'm also from this line (I was born and raised in Marion Co., WV). Francis Marion GLOVER would have been my 3rd cousin 3X removed. I have this line back to the 1740's (John GLOVER and Anna ?). I descended from John's son Thomas:

Hello, I too am researching Glover. My great aunt married Worley Franklin Glover. He was born 19 September 1892 and died 6 August 1976.

He was married once before he married my aunt.

Worley's parents are John Glover and Margaret Fearer.

Worley was a retired farmer when he died and he was a member of the Church of the Brethren.

He married my aunt Hazel Ellen Uphold, daughter of Dora Mae Benson and Allen L. Uphold. She was born 13 June 1903 and died in 1997.

They had 4 daughters, 5 sons, and 2 foster sons at the time of death.

I just came across your post of 2002. I might be able to answer your question about Myrtle Youst. My Mom Roberta Snyder was born in Glover's Gap and I was just looking around to see what I could find out and I came across your post. Let me get my papers tonight and see what I can do.
We could be related somehow....The place is not to big huh?
