I cannot be positive but I believe that Tom Ledoux who used to run this board had compiled that data and added that link. When he left so did many of his wonderful submissions.

If the following link works, it is an on-line search tool for the University of Vermont library. Their Special Collections Department has extensive information. Plan ahead if you go, because there is so much information to find. I checked for the Swanton Directory and there are some in their collections. You had Martin on your origonal surname list, is this a family you are researching? If so, what lines, this is my Mother's maiden name. Good luck.

Thank you, I think they must be related..All I have is that they were origanly from Quebec ans lived in the Swanton area..there were supposed to be famliy living still in VT

In Georgia, VT there was a Firkey family that lived there for many years and then moved to St. Albans. If you are connected I may be able to get part of there family tree info for you. They had two sons, Ron and Mike Firkey. Ron was the Mayor of St. Albans, VT a few years ago.
Please let me know if you would like this it was posted in the Town History book a few years ago.

I have a Paul Campbell b. 1827 in Swanton, Franklin Co. Vt married a Marie Firkey 27 Apr 1855 prob in Franklin Co vt.
would you have any info on either family?

MY Furkey are Edward Furkey born 1874 Father was Stuble Furkey born 1839
Edward was married to Anne Bell Martin and Stuble Furkey was married to Mary Bovat
