Does anyone know of a ship called Benja Baynton or Benjamin Baynton that sailed from Bristol England to Jamestown Va around Oct 1650. I have searched and searched and can not find a ship with this name. It is believed that my ancestor came to Virginia as a headright and was aboard the ship I have mentioned.

Thomas,
Here are three links you can try, if you haven't done so already.

English-America: The Voyages, Vessels, People, & Places

(English-America recommended by Family Tree magazine)

Finding Passenger Lists Before 1820

If these don't help, contact the reference department of your local library or university for their recommendations and suggestions.

Good luck!
Kathleen

Were you able to locate information about this ship? I believe that my ancestor was on it as well. Let me know if I can help.
