Hi Pam there is what little info I have I hope it’s helpful.

3rd. District Greenwood Leflore

In 1834 John Cooper had 12 acres out of 160 acres cultivated.
He had a family of 9, 1 male over 16 years and 3 children under 10 years.
The farm was at Old Natchez trace, in the remarks it said: Tom Leflore Company.

Note: there was another John Cooper he was a Capt. Here is his info.

1St. District Nitachachii

In 1834 Capt. John Cooper hand no land cultivated, he had a family of 6
2 males over 16 years and 3 children under 10 years.
His farm was at Konappa creek, north side, land poor.

3rd. District Chief Greenwood Leflore
Northwest, District Choctaw Nation.
1834, Mississippi.

In 1834 Capt. Nat. Jones had 25 acres out of 640 acres cultivated.
He had a family of 9, 6 children under 10 years.
In the remarks it said: Entitled as Capt. Under the 19th. Article of the treaty.

I hope this little bit of info will help in some way.

3rd. District Greenword Flore
Mississippi, 1834.

Tobias Ward had 30 out of 480 acres cultivated.
He had a family of 8, 1 male over 16 years and 6 children under 10 years.
He had 1 slave, No info on the farm.

Turner Ward had 10 out of 80 acres cultivated.
He had a family of 8, 5 males over 16 years and 1 child under 10 years.
No info on where the farm was.

Note: I have no Philip Ward I believe you were asking about Philip Hays?

Philip Hays, The index gives no info other then that he had 320 acres.
In the remarks it’s states, he was provided for by supplement with a half section of land.

The Tobias and Turner Ward look ok. The family tree did not give a last name for Philip????.
Do you know more about Philip Hays? Is there any info for a Philip Ward? I know that in past generations some just used a single name, such as Philip?
This research in Miss. is very new to me.

Paula sorry to say this all I have I looked to see if there was a Philip Ward but none was on it.
As for just just a first name your right there are a few but no Philip.
I've seen names like: Old woman, Mrs., Widow, Blackman and so on. I'm sorry I couldn't be of more help to you.
