Looking for information on Charles Magerkurth of Kinderheim, Germany. An upholsterer, he came to America in 1871 and married Anna Simon, also of Kinderheim. She was sister to three girls who married Hartmetz brothers (also, from Kinderheim). Charles and Anna had many children, some in Chicago and most in Evansville, Indiana.
Anything would help, as I know nothing of Charles parents.
Charles Magerkurth 04 Sep 1844 - 30 Jun 1919 Evansville, IN

I think that your "Kinderheim" is a mistake. "Kinderheim" is a "children's home" in English. You mean "Kindenheim" with "n"?? This Kindenheim lies in the administrative district "Bad Dürkheim" in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate. It is a wine-growing area.
