Hi.. I am dedicating this time to search for
family orgins. In the loving memory of my
Grandfather: Sven Edward Wetteland.I am
trying to find information about his Father:
Sven Oftedahl.....And Inga Matilda Oftedahl
migrated to the states in 1920's .I believe
setteled in Minnesota......And her brother started
a college there.(augsburg college)The family members from
Stavanger...Norway.Thank you...Miss. Kimberly Montero

Am trying to find any Wettelands ...That migrated to the states in the early 1900's
Sven Oftedahl....Married a Swedish girl by the name of Inga Matilda Pherson
They settled in Minnasota....Her brother started Augsburg College -Minn. Minnasota

Maren Elisabeth came from Stavanger to minnesota to her brothers with her children. She then went to Portland, OR

Hi...agian....Would Maren happen to be a sister
of Sven Oftedahl Wetteland?He came to this country
From Stavanger ( he was 14 years old) with his parents
and younger brothers and sisters (he was the oldest of the sibblings)
He married Inga in Portland ,Oregan and died
of a heart attack in San Francisco, Ca. Inga was from Swedan and migrated
here when she was 3 or 4 years old. And married Sven oftedahl
in portland....and later died of a stroke in San Francisco about 1959, I believe
They had 8 children...all where born in Portland except for my Grandfather
Sven Edward , He was born in Aberdeen, Washington. Karl, Margot, Theadore, Ingrid marie (Harris)
Solveig (Petrie)Those are their children that I know of.

Maren Elissbeth was Torger Ttorgersen Wettelans's wife. Sven and Inga only had six children. If you call your uncle Lance your mothers brother) he has a full copy of the Wetteland family tree that was handed out at the family reunion in July. It appeats there are now four of us documenting the Wetteland family

Kimberley - sorry don't have information on Wetteland but interested
on what you have for Inga Matilda Pherson. You state her brother founded
the Augsburg College, MN. Would be interested in anything you can
give me on the 'Pherson's'. I have a family tree dating back to 1820 but

Hi.....Inga Matilda came to the states with her
brothers...she was about 4 years old....Settled in minn.
and later moved to Auberdeen, Washington....It is believed
That she married my great-great Grandfather sven Oftedahl...
I am not certain if It was younger or older Brother that started the college in
Augsberg.....I do have a historical society member in Minn. that is compling data for me.
So as soon as I recieve it I will gladly let you know.Inga I believe died of heart failure.
And had 6 children....Vital statistics can give you info...on the imigration statis and the years the

MY GGGGRANDFATHER WAS JOHANNES ABRAHAMSEN SLETNES MARRIED ANE ADRIAN (1820'S-1830'S) LIVED IN TROMSO, NORWAY.THEY HAD 14 CHILDREN,
ONE WHICH WAS MY GGGRANDFATHER ALBREGT
JOHNANNSEN(1832-1907)LATER NAMED ALBERT JOHNSON AND SETTLED IN SAINT PETER,MN.IN 1862.HE MARRIED MARGARET MARIE IN NORWAY.
THEY HAD EIGHT CHILDREN: JOHN ADRIAN,ANNA,
GEORGE, MARTIN FREDRICK WHICH WAS MY GGRAND-
FATHER.THEIR ARE ALOT OF RELATIVES IN SOUTHERN MINNESOTA. I LIVE IN NORTHERN CALIF.
