Michael Mannix m. Mary Anne Bowler bef. 1842

Children known:
Cathrine Mannix born Clash, County Kerry 1842 emigrated to Australia and married.

Does anyone have any possible further information on this family?

Also, does anyone know the location of Clash? I looked it up but found two and don't know which one is the one I'm looking for. Where are Mannix's most common in County Kerry?
Any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks,
A. O'Brien,
Australia

There's a Clash near Ventry and one in Tralee. There's also one near Killarney, but as Bowler is mostly associated with Dingle, the one near Ventry is probably your best bet. All my Mannixes, are in Dingle, but I know the name is also associated with Co. Cork.

Its not the Clash on the western tip of the Dingle Peninsula,in Kilquane civil parish, County Kerry. That Clash is very small. The Griffiths Valuation only listed three families O'Connor, Begley and Shea. (c 1853)
