I am desceded from this branch.Daniell, then Daniell again. Richard Cooley fought in the Revolutionary War and moved from Maryland to Georges Township near Fairchance PA. The line to me goes though Rachel's father ... Cooley, Rachel Cooley, George FP Cooley, Samuel Alvin, Carl Melvin (b 1914) then me - Susan Jane Cooley born 1949 in Pittsburgh

I am trying to find who Daniell's parents were and when this family came to the US.

Ensign Benjamin Cooley's wife's surname is unknown. Of all the surnames ascribed to Sarah, Savage is the most farfetched and wrong.

When I last checked World Connect a few years ago there were over 200 family trees that had appended a surname to Sarah. It's unknown folks.

The most common maiden name for Benjamin's wife that I have
seen has been Savage. I have NOT done the research for Benjamin's generation to PROVE this one way or the other!!
How wonderful IF you have PROVEN this point!!

I'm pretty sure that DNA testing has shown that Benjamin and Daniel were different branches.
