I am researching the family of Fredrick Werner (Warner) born in Prussia about 1846. Lived in MIlwaukee, owned property in Wisc. and married Eva Baltes in 1866 in Milwaukee. Perhaps this is a relation. His parents were Fredrick Werner (Warner) died prior to 1866 and Dorothea Werner (Warner)

I've indexed the name Fred. Werner from a June 1863 Civil War casualty list published in a local German newspaper. There are over 300 occurrences of the Werner name in the current version of "Milwaukee's German Newspapers; an index of death notices and related items" (1844-1950).
