I have 2 books by Elizabeth Mills that have birth, baptism, marriages, death, and burial information from the Catholic Church Registers. I would be willing to share this with those interested in ancestors living during the time period of 1732-1850.

Hi Suzie,
Do you happen to have anything on a Louis Charbaneau?
not sure of spelling. He ran a ferry and was supposedly kicked in the head and killed. then his widow married
James or Michael Crow who operated Crow's Ferry

Louis's daughter Mary was b. 1795 - 1800
she took the name Crow and also Sabinal, Savanno, Chivani.
She married James Campbell a priveteer with Lafite.

Hi David, I've tried 3 times to send this reply, and every time my computer has shut down on me. Hope it will work this time. I'm glad I can help you. Andre' St. Andre' has 7 entries in the book I have. Twice on a couple of them, once translated from French and once from Spanish.

MARIE ADRIENNE ST. ANDRE'
February 23, 1790, baptism of Marie Adrienne, about one month of age, legitimate daughter of Andre' St. Andre' and Marie Rachal. Godparents: Mr. Monet and Celeste Verger.

Linda, I'm sorry, but I couldn't find anything on any of the names you listed. I checked both books for every spelling I could put together that might work, but nothing.
Let me know if there are any other names I can check for you.

Surnames: Scroggins (Scruggins)
Are you ever nice to do this!

I've been looking for any information regarding Adolph Scroggins (sometimes spelled Scruggins). He appeared in Natchitoches Parish (record-wise) in 1854 when he married Catharine Longlois. He later married Odalie Rachal - and had lots of children with both of them.

Census records indicate that he was born about 1831 in Louisiana and that his parents were also born in LA. An older relative of the family says that his father's name was George.

There is a census listing in Natch. Parish 1840 for a Mrs. Scroggins - and there is a male in the 5-10 year age-range. So, if that's him, did his father die before 1840?

I also wonder if his last name got misspelled (he could neither read nor write) - a possible French name (soundex) is Savagin or Saragin.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Surnames: LaCaze
Suzi,
I'm still looking for any information on Frank LaCaze's brothers and sisters. Frank was Neville's father. I know of only two names - Foster, Sip, and Clem. Any information you could find for me in your book would be very helpful.
