I am trying to trace all mannixes in victoria. Finding tie ins can be difficult and i am more than willing to swap information i may have.

The Name Mannix is an early part of my wife's Australian Line.

James Mannix b 1819 Co Clare Ireland d 15 Mar 1879 Kilmore Vic.

married 7 Jan 1847 Saint Francis Church Melbourne Vic

Mary Bourke b 1826 Limerick Ireland b 21 Jul 1891 Kilmore Vic

First of nine Children Margaret Mannix b 6 Nov 1847 Kilmore Vic

Margaret Mannix married Patrick Keenan 16 May 1867 in St Patricks church Kilmore Vic and they had nine children.

Do you recognise any of the above ?

Dear Bob Hi Well you have hit the jackpot as I have all the information you may need. My great great grandfather was Margarets brother.I have researched as best I have been able into the Mannix line.The only piece of information I cannot find is how James Mannix arrived here in Australia, do you have any ideas, I know it was by ship but as a paying passenger? or as a ship hand or with some family, brothers or sisters? are you referring to James Mannix from around Faeries Cross Co Kerry, who emigrated to Australia around 1863 with his wife Johanna, nee Finnerty.
His father was Maurice Mannix.
If this is right then we are talking about my G Grandfather, and I believe my sister has the details of the ship and whether he was a paying passenger or not.
