"The Bien" -- Danish-American Newspaper

In the 1930s, my grandfather, Henry GILLING, wrote a newspaper column for "The Bien," which was a Danish-American newspaper published in San Francisco. (It is still in existance, but has since moved to LA. I contacted them but they do not have any archives.)

My family is hoping to find any edition which includes a column that he wrote. I'd appreciate any research tips. Thanks!

The California Newspaper Program is based at University of California at Riverside. It's part of the US Newspaper Program, funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities. If they do not have actual copies from that time, they should be able to direct you to a repository that does. NEH website at www.neh.gov/projects/usnp.html gives this contact info for California:
