Dear Paul:
Happy Easter. On my dad's family tree I find the name
Jan Kotek. He was a witness at the marriage of Antonin
Brabec and Katerina Pastor on Aug,7 1832.Antonin was the
son of Frantisek Brabec(from Senomaty)and Katerina Kopecky
( from Sanov).Antonin's bride,Katerina Pastor,was the
daughter of Petr Pastor and Anna Bures, both from
Hostokryje. Antonin was a 32 year old Catholic widower and
Katerina was a 25 year old single Catholic. My dad was from
Senomaty as was Jan Kotek. Now,I am sure that in their day,
as well as ours, witnesses to a marriage or Godparents at
a Christening,were relatives or close friends.Thus,it would
be interesting if your Koteks were connected to Jan Kotek.
I would welcome any info on Koteks,Brabecs,Minariks or
Svobodas.God love you and yours.Thomas Brabec--Tombrabec@

I'm looking for my relatives in US. My grand mother told me about Rozarka (Rosary) Kotkova (Kotek) who get to US around WW I, she was very young in that time, then she married Mr. Pardubsky or Pardupsky, they had 2 children (boy and girl). I think that they sattled in Chicago or around there. Her husband died after WW II and I think that she remarried. Rosary was from Pilsen (Plzen). Her family (Kotek) came to Plzen from Bustehrad, both places in Czech Republic now, formerly Austro-Hungarian Emperor.

If it fits to your info of Kotek kindly let me know.

Jiri Kotek, Pilsen
