I am trying to locate some information on my family from Bladen or Columbus county North Carolina. My great-grand father was James Walker born about 1845 and died Oct. 3, 1917 he was married to Polly Purdie-Walker born 1863 and died March 22, 1923, I was told by my grandfather David Walker also known as Babe that they had 21 children. My grandfather died in 1989 he was the last living sibling so I think. During the time I was growing up I only knew one of his siblings and that was Betsy Walker Moore she lived in Raleigh, N.C. I also know there was a brother names Johnny. He died before I was born or when I was very little, I only heard stories about him. But I am curious as to where the other siblings are or what happened to them and their children anybody with any information please respond. I would appreciate anything little bit of information that will help me and my family with our research.

I have a great uncle who married a Purdie from Bladen County. My uncle was a Bullock. I think her name was Pearlie. They lived and died in NYC. He was from Lumberton, Robeson, NC. Any info would help.

you mentioned a Johnny Walker,there is a photo of a man by that name at the Bladenboro Historical Society Town museum,he is a dwarf is this the same one.
