I was given info a while ago which suggested that my Deavilles connect to Thomas & Edith (Kent). The approx. births were oppostie way round though. Thomas christened 28/10/1753 Croxden, Edith Kent christened 21/12/1760.

Hi Jane

just found this post

If it`s of any interest, my great great great grandad was William Deaville, who was born in Blore, Staffordshire (not far from Ellastone) about 1811. He married Elizabeth Langford at Rocester church (even closer to Ellastone) on Boxing day 1837. He`s the oldest Deaville in my tree so i`d love some more info on Deavilles in that area at that time. I have a copy of his marriage certificate, but there is no mention of his parents, I`m stuck trying to find any details of his family. My next search is going to be baptism records for Blore.

Cheers

Neil

HI Neil,
I havea lot of William Deavilles in my tree, ( nearly as many as the Thomases if memory serves me correctly!) I am at work at the moment ( on a minesite in the middle of nowhere!) but will have a look this weekend, I am in Australia so i find it more than a bit hard to go to the local churches for records!! I will email you what you need if I have it. What were the names of his brothers and sisters? I might have some info on those too
Jane

Hello Jane
I have only just started researching the Deaville family so have only just seen your post. I am a descendant of Thomas Deaville and Edith Kent from Croxden. Their son Walter c1800 was my gg grand father. He was brother to Thomas who married Olive Walker who gave birth to Walter 1826. He went on to marry Jane Brown. I am in contact with a direct descendant of Walter and Jane.
I have more info.
Gill

HI Gill,
I have a large amount of Deaville information I can let you have, I think I have about 200 with that surname at the moment!!
Where are you researching from? I am in Australia and find it difficult to get some of the stuff that I need.
