Lost Kolander?

My father moved from Shattuck, OK., to the East Coast where he settled down and raised my sister and I. I only know my immediate family, my father's brothers and sister. My uncle tells me the Kolander family is quite large but I have no idea who or where you are. I am new to genealogy but here's what I know so far, with most of the information taken from this site. Starting with my great, great, grandfather.

Andrew Kolander married Louisa Iragher and had five children. Fred Augusta, Julius, Herman, Ida, and Otelia.

Fred Augusta Kolander married Frances Agnes Kasuschke and they had eight children. Ida, Henry, Frank, Fred, Lydia, William Herman, Minnie, and Edna.

William Herman Kolander married Hilda M Ehrlich and they had four children. William, Gary, Raymond, and June.

Raymond Kolander is my father and my son is Nikolaus Raymond Kolander.

So, any relatives out there?

Thanks,

Greg,

We have played tag before. I am married to Bruce, son of Bruce, son of Jack, son of Christian, son of Jacob who married Ida Kolander, daughter of Andrew Kolander. We are looking at the same family. I will help you. Can you fill in the missing pieces on your end?

Hi,

I need to gather a little more info regarding my father's immediate family. Give me a few days and I will put something together.

Thanks.

Hi. I'm not sure my brother, Morris W. Kolander answered your query, so I thought I would. My grandfather was Frank Andrew Kolander. He was the son of Fred Augusta Kolander that you referred. He married Irene Marie Carver. They had 4 children: Lorene, Francis, Charles, and Wanda (I can supply you with their full names, dates of birth, etc. if you are interested. My father was Charles Morris Kolander. He married my mother, Gloria Joan Dixon. They had 5 children: Frankie Lee (deceased after 3 months), Charla Ann Kolander (Meleski), Morris Weldon Kolander, Linda Louise Kolander(Ealey), and Carole Jean Kolander (Peters). My grandfather lived out his life in Shattuck, was the sheriff and the county roadgrader, and eventually had a very disabling stroke.

So, it seems you and I are distance cousins. I am glad to know you. If you are just tracing your direct line, I have a bit more. Your great-great grandfather was a Polish immigrant. Let me know how much info you have, and if you would like any from me. Just contact me at my email address, which I think should post on this ancestry site. But, if not, it is charlaa@earthlink.net.

Hi Greg,
My grandfather was Henry Arthur Kolander from Shattuk who was married to Stella Butler who died in the Woodward, OK tornado of 1947. They had six children: Betty Gene (83), Henry, Jr. who died in 1973 (heart attack), Ramona Kolander (79), Floyd Kolander (a.k.a. Bud, my dad who is 72), LaNita Kay (died 1971; breast cancer), and Douglas (died with his mother at age 4 in tornado). There are three of us Kolander kids: Me (Katherine Kay Kolander, 46), Stephen Douglas Kolander (45), and Michael Henry Kolander (44). One is in Austin, TX, one in Taylor, TX, and one in Atlanta, GA. My dad lives in San Benito, TX.
