Is there a list that I could access online or a hardcopy list or book giving names of those who died or survived the Trail of Tears?

Looking for John Madison Rice/Mary D.Inman and William Morgan Inman/Elma Cramer Burgess.
Gre....Grandparents!! Or would it would be their parents too I suppose!! They and their descendants settled in Kentucky, Arkansas, Missouri and Illinois, probably some in Oklahoma also. I have other inquiries on the Rice message board and also Inman board that gives more of the genealogy lines. Hope someone might recognize a name or has an old story. TK

History of the Rice family of Native Americans

Dear Trudy, in 1702 Timothy and Silas Rice were captured by Mohawks(Iroquois) Indians when very young boys. Timothy grew to be a great war chief with many descendents. Over time, a couple of my Indian friends told me, The Rices spilled over into the Shawnee who spelled/pronounced it "Reese". The info about your ancestor being Cherokee is no surprise, because the Cherokee are an Iroquoin linguistic nation. My part in all this is my g-g-g-grandmother's name was Mary Rice, and her portrait couldn't look more Indian. She married a "disowned" Quaker named George Rinard. I always just assumed she was Mohawk, because the Quakers came to the aid of the decemated peoples of central PA after Sullivan's Massacre. She just as well might have been Cherokee! Please share anything you may have to help me with my puzzle.Rinard>Forney>Harrigan(O'Horgan)>Schmidt>Bauer(Me!).

Gary,
I am the great-great-great-great-granddaughter of Simon Rice b. 1804 . He married Susan Kirker and was in Butler County, PA in 1828 when they had son, William Rice.
I have been at a dead end with Simon. I cannot find out anything about his parents. There are several other Rice families in the area, but none that I can connect with my Simon.
I recently met some of William Rice's great-grandchildren. They told me that they were told many times that the Rices were of Indian descendant.
They had met one of William's daughters when they were young and remembers her having jet black hair.
Do you know what part of PA these descendants settled? William moved from Butler County to Jefferson County, PA by 1850, and they rest of the family moved to the state of Indiana.
Any help you could give me would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Paula

Hello Pam,
This is the website that has a picture of a Nelson T. Rice as a drummer boy in the civil war. You probably already have seen it, but I thought I would send it anyway.
