Hi Arno. Since my ancestor, George HUTCHINSON, arrived in the MA Bay Colony in 1630 with "the Winthrop Fleet," I'm curious about the HUTCHINSON's who arrived in New London Co., CT, at that same time !

Did Ralph HUTCHINSON arrive with 'a fleet" or was there just one ship who went to the coast of CT ?

(It is believed that George's brother, Thomas HUTCHINSON, traveled with him, but died within a day of arriving in MA. Thomas had 5 children with him, who became the step-children of Adam HAWKES.)

(George's only known son was Nathaniel HUTCHINSON, b1632/3 Charlestown, MA.)

Ralph Hutchinson, son John Hutchinson (b. 1658 Boston MA)

I do not know how Ralph Hutchinson 's family got to Connecticut, but he was born there. His son was John Hutchinson, born in Boston, Mass. in 1658.

All I know about Ralph Hutchinson (if its correct) is that he was born in Lebanon, Connecticut in 1630. I have no information about his father or mother. I have his wife's name as Alice Walcott, but I'm given two different birthdates and two different death dates for her and two different places of birth and one of death.
According to my info they had either five or six children. In the first list under Alice Walcott born in 1644, I have John, Mercy, Judah, Samuel, and Eleazer. In the second list under Alice Walcott born in 1630 I have the same names plus Mabel between Mercy and Judah. Its all very confusing.
Yours , Arno

Hello Allen, We haven't talked in a while. Lost your email address and thought I would post another message with hopes that you would contact me again. I've been in contact with another Hutchinson family member, he lives in Texas. We all have so much information, I think we need to somehow get together on the telephone or by email and see what we can do about putting all our information together regarding Ralph Hutchinson and his family members in their proper order and place. I'll be gone for about 12 days on an Elk hunt, but would be more than happy to talk Hutchinson family trees with you when I get back. I hope you and your family are going fine. Mine has enlarged over the past 3years with grandchildren. I really hope to past all my information down to my grandchilren someday. Hope to hear from you soon. Your distance cousin, Edith (Edie)

Hello Allen,
It's been a while since we talked online. I have been in contact with a relative who lives in Texas, seems he is searching for the same family information as both of us are. I was wondering is you have found any new information on the Hutchinson side of our family. Still searching for where in England Ralph's family was from and his father and mother. So much information and not enough time to put it all where it needs to go. Please send me an email at my new email address so that we can talk and exchange information on our family. Nice talking to you again after a couple of years. Your distant cousin, Edith Chivers

Hello Edie,
For years there has been a missing link in my tree. My Great- great-grandfather was Fred Hutchinson who died in Kansas in 1913. We knew that after the Revolutionary War these Hutchinson's went to Ontario and were Loyalists. We knew that Fred was born in Ontario, possibly somewhere just north of Grafton in Northumberland Co. on 24 Jun 1843. We also knew that he had a brother named Cyrus. The family is of Irish descent. He married Emma Coleman in Hilton, Northumberland Co. on 09 Jun 1867. For years I have been off and on searching for who Fred's parents were to hopefully lead back to the US. I recently subscribed again to ancestry after a year or so hiatus and have discovered some new releases from Canada, namely the 1851 Ontario Census in which I have found a family of Hutchinson's with two of the children named Frederick and Cyrus. I have no proof at all but what I have written here, though I am working on some leads. You seem to be quite knowledgeable on the Hutchinson's and I just wanted to touch base with you, say hi, and see what you thought of my theory. If Noah is indeed the father of my Great-great-grandfather Frederick Hutchinson then this leads back to Ralph also. I did converse with a Phil Dascola who as near as I can find, is the only one (besides me now) to link my Fred to Noah on his tree. However he could only tell me that he got the information from someone else. Well, I thank you for your time if you are able to look into this - and if not, I understand. I surely would also invite anyone else interested to reply also. Thanks much! Suzanne

Hello. I just wanted to offer an FYI that I have started a Mailing List on the subject of: CAN-USA-MIGRATION.

And, a researcher has requested that a Message Board be created with the same topic ! But, it has not been approved, yet.

It covers all Provinces in Canada and all States in the U.S., and, for now, it includes all years from 1600 to 1900's.

Betty (near Lowell, MA, USA)

P.S. My HUTCHINSON line was in Charlestown and Winchester, MA, from the 1600's to the 1900's !
