Wheeler's "History of Brunswick,Topsham and Harpswell" contains a short biography on a Benjamin Larrabee of Falmouth (then Portland) around 1700. If you'd like the full quote, you can e-mail me at paws@nqi.net.

My husband and I share Larrabee ancestors in North Yarmouth. Are you still needing information?

Hi, I am trying to find information on Benjamin Larrabee born 1700 in Falmouth, Massachusetts. Do you recognize that name.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi Dianne,
There are enough Benjamin Larabees around for each of us to have several, but I think the one you are looking for is the one mentioned by "paws" above. Wheeler's History of Topsham is available on Ancestry and on Google Books at http://books.google.com/books/about/History_of_Brunswick_Top...
Benjamin is mentioned on p. 790 of the PDF document (p. 759 of the print book) and on p. 894 of the PDF document (p. 841-2 of the print book).

In 1700 Falmouth=Portland in what is now Maine. It was a part of Massachusetts, but not the same as Falmouth on Cape Cod....but you probably knew that.

This is what I have for my Benjamin Larrabee who I believe, but have not proven to be, the Benjamin Wheeler mentions.

Hope this helps. If you have evidence that there are two Benjamins, one born in Falmouth/Maine in 1700 and the other in Malden, MA in 1796/7, I'd be glad to hear about it.
