I have been researching the descendants of Mitchell Sanders for 20 years am looking for someone to share information with.

I have my GGGrandfather John Sanders his brother was Charlie Sanders John Married Nellie Grant Hickman. My Great Grandmother told me we had a tie to Cherokee ancestry before she died. Can you help me?
They lived in MO.

My Sanders family tree starts with Mitchell Sanders who married a full-blooded Cherokee ca 1772 had 5 sons 2 daughters. They lived with the Cherokees in western Georgia. There was a son John who was born ca 1776 married a Cherokee woman. There were also grandchildren with the name of John, so if you can give me some information about your Sanders line perhaps I can be of some help. Hope to hear from you soon.

He was a twin his twin I don't think his twin lived very long.
