Started by John C. Swearingen about 1888; later taken over by his son, John Blaine Swearingen. Commom and Preferred shares of stock were issued and left to John C. Swearingen's children in his will. Anyone with information on this family, please contact me. Thanks.

I AM trying to connect the current Swearingens in Mi (from Meigs Co OHIO) to the John Cloud Swearingen b 11 Aug 1846 of PA. His father was Joseph Cloud SWEARINGEN of PA. (m to Ascenath PARKER b 10 Aug 1815) If the connection I suspect is accurate our Thomas Swearingen is a brother to John Cloud who owned the Ink Co.
