Am researching the Cahalane family who lived in Heir Island, Skibbereen, County Cork. My g-g-grandparents were John Cahalane & Norah/Hannah Neill/O'Neill. There were 11 children from this marriage, 4 of which were: Ellen (my g-grandmother) b. 1868, Cornelius "Nelius," b. abt. 1870, Michael "Mike," Patrick, b. abt 1872. The family originally came from Rath in Baltimore sometime after Griffiths Valuation.

Would love to hear from you & if there is a connection, exchange information.

I am researching the Cahalane family. My g-g-grandfather Denis Cahalane (wife-Anne Casey) of Leap had 8 kids - Katie, Cornelius, Mary, John, Hannah, Margaret, Lena and Dennis. John, Lena and Margaret (my g-g grandmother) came to the US. Lena settled in Springfield, Mass. and Margaret in Binghamton, NY. Any info you can pass along would be appreciated.
