Keying Placename in Place qualifiers

What's the correct way to key place names written in the form "Neustadt ¹/Holst", given the "Key as seen" and "include punctuation other than periods" rules?

Neustadt i/Holst
Neustadt i/ Holst
Neustadt i Holst <--(I'm leaning towards this one)
Neustadt in Holst

or something else?

Edited to add: I just came across another wrinkle: "Landsburg a/d. W." Should that be

Landsburg a/d W
Landsburg a d W
Landsburg ad W

or something else? Now I'm thinking maybe keying the slash is the way to go. Ach!

Neustadt i/Holst

Landsburg a/d W

Edit: In the long term this probably wont matter, A lot of abbreviated place names get expanded in post keying processes.

Though wap sometimes does it wrong. I still remember The Biala project Where wap Expanded Brzesc n/B to New Brunswick! (It stood for nad Bugium, the Bug river, argh)

And, Yes, I let Anna know about that one.

Paul,

I agree. I have been keying it that way.
For instance there are two Frankfurts:

Frankfurt/O
Frankfurt a/Main or a/M
