I am looking for the book that was written about the three Cameron brothers from the Dunvegan area. Would anyone out there know where i could get a copy of it? I am looking in particular for info on this family. Any word would be great.

There is a book out there that is called "Descendants of Angus, John and Donald Cameron" that i am looking for.
They are Protestant and lived on the 9th concession just west of Dunvegan in Kenyon Twnshp. I believe these 3 brothers came to Kenyon in the early 1830's, but i don't think they came all together.Family stories indicate that they immigrated from Scotland, settled in one place, then resettled in the Dunvegan area.Their wives are as follows
John Cameron and Ann MacDonald
Donald Cameron and Catherine Mclean
Angus Cameron and Alice or Helen Mclean
I know that there are many Camerons living in the area some Catholic and some protestant. I would like to find out where in Scotland they came from. Glenelg - Inverness seems to be the location but can't say forsure. Any help or tips would be great.

I have been told that the Cameron family at Dunvegan migrated from Scotland c 1835. I think there is mention of this migration in the book written by Marianne McLean.

I have three Cameron brothers by that name from Kenyon. I have names for children of John... sorry, no punctuation.marks.... "William Henry Shadgate (of York), John Allen Hugh Ellen and Hughena.." Mine were protestant. Happy to exchange info. (The birth order of mine would be John, Donald and Angus with other siblings inbetween..) sandrascallahan@hotmail.com

The book you are looking for is out of print. A copy is held at the Glengarry museum. The info is on microfiche at www.familysearch.org call number 929.271 C145cg Angus was my GGGF, married to Annie McLean.
