GULLEDGE, HUNTLEY, LEWELLYN, MEADOWS/MEADORS
Researching surnames in Anson Co.:
I have a Lavinia Huntley who married Tom Watts from Anson Co. Don't have details or dates, but they had grandson b. 1868. If this connects, email me.
My ancestor was Jason Meador/Meadows who married Elizabeth Stone. They were the parents of Lewis b. ca 1729-33 m. Susannah Moberly; Jason Jr. b ca 1734 m. Sarah Moberly; Job, b ca 1736 m. Elizabeth Moberly; Thomas b ca 1736-38 m. Keziah Moberly; Drucilla b 1738 d. 1781 m. Edward Moberly, Jr.; Mariah b ca 1743 m. Abraham Rushing; Sarah Zilphia*my line*b ca 1744-7 d. 1812 NC m. Thomas Huntley. Much of this information came from "Our Meador Families in Colonial America" by Victor Paul Meador. I believe the above mentioned Levi and Job are children of Lewis Meador & Susannah Moberly. Other children of theirs were Isham b ca 1775, Lewis Jr. and Mordecai. Your Levi and Job would have been first cousins to my Sarah Zilphia.

Re: GULLEDGE, HUNTLEY, LEWELLYN, MEADOWS/MEADORS
Janie, I have a book on the Huntley's from Anson Co. I have an Aunt/Uncle and cousins still living there. What do you want to know?
Re: ambrose meador church
I have the Victor P. Meador book "Our Meador Families in Colonial America". On the last paragraph on page 8, it talks about a church constructed on the lands of Ambrose Meador which still stands today. I am from Seattle and went to MD last summer but with little information in hand and did not know about the church at the time. Do you know exactly where it is located?
I won't be going back there any time soon, but I do have a neice who lives in Virginia (near Baltimore). I would like to give her directions to it, in hopes of taking some pictures for me. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: GULLEDGE, MEADOWS, WATTS, HUNTLEY
Does the "Meador Families of Virginia and Points West" have better or different information in it as compared to "Our Meador Families in Colonial America?" I wonder if it is worth my while to track it down. Thanks in advance...
Re: GULLEDGE, MEADOWS, WATTS, HUNTLEY
By the way do you have any Barrett's, Armstrong's, Faircloth's, or Carelock's in your family line?
