Ever hear of de Haven PA?

Hello, the book: History of the Descendants of John Hottel, pg 134 has Margaret Smith (b August 26, 1865) in de Haven , Pa. I can't find de Haven. Is that a section of a town or a former name of another town? Margaret ended up in Carnegie, so I don't think it's Lock Haven or Schuylkill Haven. Any suggestions?
Thanks, Maryann

Dear Mary Ann,

Possibly you're looking for De Haven in southern Hampton Township, Allegheny County, east of Allison Park. It's listed in my Pennsylvania Atlas.

Online if you go to Darlington Digital library and look in their map section and search for 1907 you can look at the area. Looks like it was near the railroad.

I also found a DeHaven Station in my atlas in Clarion County but suspect you'd want the former.

Enjoy,
Karen
