Surnames: CATO, CATOE
Searching for info on WILLIAM CATO born in Halifax, NC in 1754-55. Listed on 1790 census Halifax District, Edgecombe County with 4 females and two males (sons?) under 16. Could one be WILLIAM of Wilkes County, GA. (1820) and THOMAS of Dooly County, GA. (1840)?

Surnames: Cato, Jones, Ivey
The William Cato listed on the 1820 Wilkes census was married to Lucinda Ivey. Her sister Martha (Patsy) Ivey is in my line and married John M Jones in Wilkes in 1808. Martha was born in Halifax Co NC in 1790.
