I am having trouble understanding some of these records.
JoHann Michael's 1st wife Catherine R. died 1756. He married Catherine Witter and had a baby, but I believe name listed is Catherine R.s.
Child with 2nd wife died as infant.

Michaels brother was Johannes Peter. He is listed as John. He married Susannah Neiman there and the majority of children listed here are through his line. I have copies of the church papers written in German and translated into English.

Where did you get your info? John Peter lived in Litil?

Now this record collection makes more sense. Christina was the last of Michael & Catherine Reinboldins children. Michael was oldest, than George and than ? who died.
all born before 1756.

If you look at the top of the message that I sent , you will see the source:

Pennsylvania Births: Lancaster County 1723-1777
by John T. Humphrey.

...also remember that records werent necessarily always and completely accurate and that the best way to clear up a question is to get a copy of the original birth documents which may be what you say you have.
The only thing that I know is that the entires in my source were compiled from church records that were listed with each entry.

I'm not sure where you say the confusion is. Sorry, can you explain it again. You may email me directly, if you wish.

All the records I posted were taken from the same source, as posted. There are two volumes. They were compiled from church records. I dont believe I ever listed the mother Catherine as Catherine R.

Hi, just wondering if anyone is still watching this thread after so many years. I believe these are my ancestors - I live in Lancaster and we believe we have been here for some time - I have some items (musket) dating from the late 18th Century.

My great-great-great-grandfather was a Valentine Cramer (I think), b. 1797 from a Peter Kramer (b. 1753?), from Johann Peter who immigrated here with his brother Johann Michael. This is the most I could glean from public trees on here. Since I live here I could visit Lancaster County locations and churches to research. I was also wondering if anyone had other information about my line - it becomes less clear with Valentine and prior as the census data is limited from that period.

Seems your Peter and my George are 1st cousins.
All my info is stored away, so this is from memory.
KRAEMER 1740 is about the time they came from Germany to
PA. They lived in Lititz? LANCASTER CO. PA.
Johannes Michael was born about 1710-12, and I believe
Johannes Peter was born about 1712-14. I haven't been able
to find who else may have come with them, but I know there
were other Kraemers/Kramer/Cramers there about the same time.
Michael married 1st ca 1742 to Catherine RHINEBOLD(er)(in)
and had 4 children, Johannes Michael,1742
Johannes George,1744, ? Jacob, and Christine.
Catherine died and Michael married Catherine WITTER
One more daughter, who died young.
I believe Michael died ca 1756, George was about 13, I believe. Michael Jr. & George were bonded out by
executor/guardians 1. Johannes Peter Kraemer and ?
Younger childrens destinys unknown, but may have lived
with uncle or other guardian, as they were too young to bond.
Johannes Peter married Susanna Neimus, or something
similar. I want to say her father was a preacher, but again,
not sure. John & Susanna went on to have Peter and other siblings. They seemed to have stayed in Lititz area at
least for the generation. Name spelled KRAMER & Cramer.
Some folks on message boards have lists of the next few generations.

My Johannes George ended up in BERKELEY CO. VA, possibly
taken there by his guardian. The feel he was trained to
be a clothier or hat-maker due to materials he was posession of. It was not always BERKELEY CO, but he lived
in Sleepy Creek, Shepherdstown, and somewhere else there.
He was related to CLOVER, SHEPHERDS, GRAYS and others through his wife. May have been SMITHS also.
He and wife Barbara had about 8 kids. Some stayed in VA,
and others followed them to Hellers Bottom,ROSS CO OH, ca 1803, and on to FAYETTE CO. OH, where they lived near Sugar
Creek, near Jeffersonville in Jefferson township.
There son Johannes Michael was my gr gr gr grandfather.
He married Mary Gray is VA, and had 12 children.
Their 6th? child, Mary, was my gr gr grandmother, and
she married Reuben Carr, b.1800 HARDY CO VA, in Jeffersonville in 1830. They later moved to RoseHill area
of Crooked Creek township, JASPER CO. IL. That's where
my grandfather was born, and my brother still owns part
of the farm.
I remember looking for more info on Johanne Michael
and his wife and family in LANCASTER, but found most
KRAMER info was connected to John Peter & Susanne.
Both of their marriages are recorded in a book from one
of the churches, and also baptism certs. I can't remember
what church. Also, somewhere there is a record of the ship
they came on. Their name may not have been spelled correctly on it, but I know there IS a record somewhere.
Perhaps in Philly.
My families name ended up being CREAMER by time George
got to Virginia. Between the German accent, and mostly
illitarate folks taking the info, alot of names got
changed.
Hope this gives you direction.
I used to have the records on the family trees on Ancestory,
back when that was part of the membership of 39 dollars for
a year. Now it's all beyond me.
Also try your library to get a copy of
PENNSYLVANIA GERMAN PIONEERS. That book has ships, marriage, baptism and death info, etc. Your library
could do an inter-library loan, if they don't have it.
