so I was doing some descendancy research and unfortunately I found the wrong marriage certificate, and followed the family down from there. I'm trying to clean this up. I've removed people I added on my tree. I removed most of the sources and events from the ancestor. One thing I haven't figured out yet is how to remove the trees I've attached for the other family. How do I do that?

If you mean a Connection - click on the Member Connect tab, and then on Connections, then on Remove. See attached screen shot.

If Ann is right and you are talking about the "member connect" business, remember that you are not ~attaching~ those other trees to yours -- just nudging the servers to notify you about additions in those trees.

If what you mean is that you did a merge/copy from other trees, you need to go to the "facts/sources" tab, click sources under that tab, and go down to the Ancestry Trees. On that listing, click the link next to "details," and it will take you to a page where, on the right side in the middle of the page, you will have two links, "edit citation" or "remove citation." If you click "remove citation," the tree(s) will no longer show as a source on the lower right of the profile page, and also it should stop you getting hints from the tree(s) although, as noted above, you may also need to go to the "member connect" tab and, under "connections," click "remove" next to the trees that no longer interest you. (Unfortunately, you have to do those one at a time, so if you have several it will take awhile.)
