I am looking for any information anyone may have re: Fred & Dave Bertrand who resided in and around Brant, Ab. and also maintained a store in Brant & Vulcan. Fred was married to Emily; Dave was married to Gertrude. Emily died/1906; Gertrude died/1920. They are both buried in High River Cemetary. If anyone can help out I would certainly appreciate it. Thanks! Joyce

Hi :)

I am also looking for Bertrands - but from Quebec (Joliette) and the area of Trois Rivier, north of Montreal, Quebec. Can you help?

Thanks!

Are you related to Louis & Maggie (Guindon) Bertrand of Stockholm, St. Lawrence, New York?

At this point in time I could not give you an honest answer. If some of your kin come from Ontario, Canada it could be possible.

Hmmmmmmmmm. I'd love to know where he was born and when. Also, if you have any of his geneology, I'd love to get my hands on it. I've traced our lineage back to 1605 in Languedoc, France to a Pierre Bertrand. He was born on Ile de Re, Ste Marie, La Rochelle, France

His son was Guillaume, born 31 Oct. 1642 on Ile de Re, Ste. Marie, La Rochelle, France. He was married in Quebec, Canada on 12 Oct. 1671 to Marguerite Feron. He died on the 23rd of October, 1710 in Montreal, Canada.

Thank you,

Edmond

How Ya Doin'?

I have gggranddad as David Bertrand, father to Zotique b.1848/49. David's marriages as:

1st to ??????
2nd to Ann McKay Sept 3, 1867
3rd to Margaret/Marguerite Simmons

I ask about the first marriage because of the ages of Zotique and some of his siblings, all somewhat verified. And David was repeated in the line.

And of course, is your David my David or a sibling/cousin?

Regards
Robert
