My grandfather, Josiah M. Baxley was born in Marble Valley, Alabama in 1869. He was the son of William Pressley Baxley, Jr. and his father was Wm. Pressley Baxley, Sr. I have been told that Baxley, Sr. was a brother of Wilson Baxley who the town of Baxley Georgia was named for. Do you have info on this. Geneva Baxley Moates

I have been researching my daughter-in-law's family for the past several years and so far have over 2,000 names in her family tree. The older family members were easier to find because their records are documented online. It's the younger generation that I'm having a problem with - primarily her GRANDMOTHER - CLYDE JANE BAXLEY. I have a funny feeling that I'm unable to find her because she may still be alive. The only information I have is: Clyde Jane Baxley, b.1927 and was living in Hoke County, Allendale township, North Carolina in 1930. Her parents were Garton (or Gaston) Baxley and Lilly Baxley. She was married to John Gilbert Swain.

My daughter-in-law is Jerri Lee Swain b. 1980 married to David Lujan
Her parents are Jerry Gilbert Swain (1950 NC -1988 CA) and Cecilia Furtado b.10/5/1951
Their parents were John Gilbert Swain b.1924 Georgia d.1993 NC and Jane Clyde Baxley b.1927

Jerri Lee Swain grew up in foster care and never knew her father or grandparents. If there is any information you may possible have, I would greatly appreciate you contacting me.
